Mendelssohn Club’s Trinity: Moran and Bruckner

Today we took a group of 15 to the gorgeous Cathedral Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul to the Mendelssohn Club‘s Trinity: Moran and Bruckner with the Philadelphia Boys Choir and The Chamber Orchestra of Philadelphia. The Cathedral Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul was the perfect home for the  Bruckner Mass No. 2 in E minor and the  ethereal Trinity Requiem. The girls commented after the concert that they were impressed by the strong posture of the singers and the gorgeous singing. One chorister asked, “Ms. Alysia, when will we sing music like that?” That is right, our girls are longing for the day they too will get to sing a Masterwork in a grand cathedral. I told her, “very soon!”

Thank you to Janelle McCoy and the Mendelssohn Club for generously hosting the girls at the concert. It is critical as our girls develop musically, that they have access to the best live music in Philadelphia. And today, they had just that!! Bravi tutti!
