Coro Camden @ LEAP Academy got a lesson this week on the dangers of smoking. A visit by Kelly McLaughlin, a health educator from Mom’s Quit Connection gave the Girls a slew of info on the health dangers of cigarettes. The Girls were surprised that most smokers begin smoking by the age of 12– the very age of many of middle school aged singers.
Later, the Girls worked in small groups to role play turning down a cigarette proposal.
Thank you Ms. Kelly for sharing your important message with Sister Cities Girlchoir!
