Sister Cities Girlchoir had its first annual College and Career Girlfest on Saturday, March 15th. The festival offered choristers the unique opportunity to meet dynamic women in the professional world and gain exposure to a range of career and education options.
Women from across the county traveled to the campus of Rutgers University in Camden to share their experience with the elementary and middle school students of SCG. Professionals from ESPN, Philly Fashion Incubators, Opera Philadelphia, Professional Women’s Business Network, She Talk Radio, Townsend Press, and the University of Maryland Graduate School of Education joined us for the event.
Choristers had the opportunity to hear from a panel of accomplished professional women. Featured speakers gave short presentations on their unique career pathways and gave insight into the diverse possibilities available to young women in the professional world. Thanks to all of the inspiring women who made this day a success!
