On November 8th, over 200 girls from across Philadelphia and Camden converged at Sister Cities Girlchoir’s Health and Wellness Pajama Party. They arrived dressed in their cutest pajamas for our first Super Saturday of the year. Super Saturdays are days for Sister Cities Girlchoir participants from across the region to unite for a day of girl empowerment and fun. They provide the participants with some perspective for understanding the scope of the ensemble, an opportunity to bond with staff, guests and other students, and to learn new skills in a safe space. The girls had the opportunity to take a yoga class, learn the basics of salsa and creative dance, and treat themselves to a nail salon. SCG is especially thankful to the Arbonne Foundation, who donated over $13,000 in organic skin care products. The Arbonne Foundation’s generous product donation helped to make the day unforgettable for our middle school girls. They received a lesson in skin care from Arbonne Executive VP and Sister Cities Girlchoir Teaching Artist, Anne Dugan, and were each gifted a skin care set and lip polish to take home.
