African American Museum Concert, Philadelphia

On March 11, the Saturday Academy girls had the amazing opportunity to perform a concert at the African American Museum in Philadelphia. Ranging from Kindergarten to 12th grade, our Red, Blue and Travel choirs sang for a packed audience.

The girls sang some of their favorite pieces, such as: “Letter from a Girl to the World,” “One in a Million,” Alessia Carra’s “Scars to your Beautiful,” “Wade in the Water,” “We are here,” which has become an anthem for Sister Cities, and more! It was a blast and a job well-done!

Here is a link to a clip of our girls singing “Scars to your Beautiful”:

After the concert, the girls, their families, and the Sister Cities staff had the opportunity to tour the museum. We were also able to participate in the Macy’s Family Fun Day activities. Such a fun day!
