Another Successful SCG Winter Concert!

On Saturday December 1st, Sister Cities Girlchoir performed at the Church of the Advocate in North Philadelphia. Singers and families traveled from Pennsylvania and New Jersey to raise their voices in song. That’s right, as per usual, by the end, the audience was singing along.

Choirs from Molina Elementary School, Catholic Partnership schools, and the SCG Saturday Academy were separately showcased, and also combined forces for the final numbers. The music spoke of poignant relevant topics– like equality, girl empowerment, and the need for love and unity– elevating the experience beyond the standard holiday concert. But the sweet tune of Silent Night paired with American Sign Language fed the December appetite as well.

Though it was too cold to sing in the sanctuary as originally planned, the resilient Sister Cities Family rose to the occasion and continued the tradition of a warmly received stellar performance.
