Absolutely. We would love to give you a brief look into how we operate. It is no small task and takes a lot of like-minded individuals who dedicate many hours into making sure Sister Cities Girlchoir runs smoothly. We have a team of eight wonderful individuals at this time who all encompass the integrity, passion, and positivity among other attributes we need to make SCG a success. Alysia Lee, Anne Agresta-Dugan, Kendra Balmer, Jacqueline S. Fox, Irina Bakis, Cecelia Snow, Shahara Benson, and Sebi Santiago-Rivas.
The staff meets regularly, goes through trainings, participates in team building exercises and more. There is a lot done behind the scenes before we interact with your beautiful singers. So much brainstorming, and preparation, and then more planning and reviewing.
With all we go through, we also put ourselves through a lot of self reflection to elevate ourselves and each other for a more enjoyable atmosphere. We do questions and answers within our meeting to help us to pinpoint what works and what may need to be revised. We also take into consideration on how our singers respond and tweak accordingly to make their experience with us more fun.
Our goal is to make sure that everything we are involved in is completely inclusive and all that join us have a sense if belonging. The pedagogy prepared is set to the highest standards for our singers. We encourage our choir members to be themselves, be involved, and to dream beyond the stars.
